This time around, Marv is played by French Stewart, Molly is played by Barbara Babcook, and Vera is played by Missi Pyle. Eventually, they manage to ambush and capture Kevin in one of the houses they have already broken into earlier, and decide to inflict the same injuries they have sustained on him in retaliation, but not before Harry bites off Kevin's fingers one by one. Fortunately, before he can do so, he and Marv are knocked unconscious with a snow shovel by Kevin's elderly next-door neighbor, Old Man Marley, whom Kevin had befriended earlier after learning that the rumors about him being a murderer were false. Marley then takes Kevin back home safely while the police arrive and arrest Harry and Marv. They are a villainous duo of incompetent burglars who target rich and renovated houses, and later a store called Duncan's Toy Chest.
Kevin appears to be quite a mischievous, yet good hearted eight/nine year old. As he's the youngest child, he is often the victim of bullying from his older siblings, with his mom often unfairly chastising Kevin instead of Buzz. He is hot-tempered and often says cruel hurtful comments, particularly when he says he doesn't want to see his family.

Joe Pesci was used to adding profanity to most of his scripts, and kept forgetting that he was filming a family movie during his character's on-screen outbursts, so director Chris Columbus advised him to say "fridge" instead of the "f" word. A lot of Pesci's unintelligible pained mutterings were his way to avoid cursing. Harry does not appear in the third film and the fourth films, but Marv would go on to appear in the fourth film this time as the central antagonist.
Being struck with a paint can to the face was another booby trap that should have successfully done away with Harry and Marv, but the two seem to walk away without concussions even. Macaulay reprised his role as Kevin McCallister, a precocious kid who is accidentally separated from his family during their holiday travels and ends up alone in the Big Apple. The actor went quite method in his approach to the character of Harry, as he avoided Macaulay on set so that the child star would be afraid of him.

Hughes liked to make his movies in the Chicagoland area, so they set up their production offices in the same building where some of his other classics, such as "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "Uncle Buck," were shot. Kevin uses a black-and-white movie called "Angels With Filthy Souls" to aid in his defense plan against the Wet Bandits, and many people — including Seth Rogen and Chris Evans — were shocked when they learned it wasn't a real film. Kevin's reaction to putting on aftershave is arguably one of the best-known scenes of the film — and it's since become one of the most iconic moments in movie history. The next morning, the family oversleeps and must rush to the airport.

He turned to Chris Columbus, who had left National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation before shooting started because of a personality clash with starring actor Chevy Chase, who Columbus said treated him "like dirt". Pesci toldPeoplehe did have stuntpeople for "the real heavy stunts," but still dealt with "bumps, bruises, and general pains." This is the first time Pesci has publicly spoken of being burned by the flaming hat gag. And of course, there is the famous big battle near the end of the film which is in my book one of my favorite battles of all time. But of course, it's pretty much a slap stick/ physical comedy fest as we see the Wet Bandits constantly getting hurt by Kevin's traps and miraculously surviving, this was just hilarity at it's best, it made me laugh till it hurt.

Pesci later appeared in another ad where he watches the short with his friends and jokes about his brief cameo. The film's stunts also created tension for the crew during shooting.
